To commemorate the release of Louise Sandhaus’s new, epochal book Earthquakes, Mudslides, Fires and Riots: California and Graphic Design 1936-1986, AIGA San Francisco hosted a panel discussion featuring Sandhaus and the California design legends Barbara Stauffacher Solomon and Emory Douglas. Volume partner Eric Heiman was in the eye of the design discussion storm wrangling the lively conversation around the colorful history of west coast design.
