Volume partner Eric Heiman was one of the four discussion leaders for the San Francisco Table Tribes “Picnic Series” gathering held at the MakeShift Society. Attendees noshed on local eats and libations while pondering happiness in the super connected age prompted by the questions “How do we choose what we give our attention to when what we want to know and who we want to connect with is at our fingertips?”, “As we look down at our devices, bury our head in our screens, are we missing the world around us?” and “How might we pay more attention to our surroundings in order to experience what is in front of us?”
(The issue was never resolved, but we’re pretty sure everyone came out of the experience a little bit happier.)
