Fall is here and so is Eric talking his head off.

The fall season brings a lot of things—cooler air, colored leaves, Halloween—and this year it was also Volume partner Eric Heiman talking city identities, inspiring UC Berkeley students, and teaching Bend residents how to change the world one orange sticker at a time. First, he was part of the “Crafting a City’s Identity” panel at SPUR San Francisco moderated by Department of Here’s Lev Kushner. Then he was off to the great not-so-white-yet north of Bend, Oregon to give a short talk and workshop on being a “fly in the ointment” to the attendees of the BND DSGN conference. Finally, he wound back down to the East Bay and UC Berkeley to speak at the Innovative Design student group’s CMYK lecture series (and judge their designs for a one-day creative sprint). He’s currently convalescing at home nursing his sore vocal chords with chamomile tea and steam baths.
