“SF Sound” poster in Center for Architecture + Design show.

To kick off this year’s Architecture and the City event, éminence grise of San Francisco graphic design Kit Hinrichs curated a San Francisco-themed poster exhibition Design + The City at the newest local creative hub, Center for Architecture + Design. Included in this show is a Volume oldie-but-goodie: SF Sound, a comprehensive history of bay Area music and originally created for the newspaper issue of McSweeney’s way back in 2009. The posters are to be auctioned off at a closing reception sometime in November. Stay tuned for more info!
