We’re honored, excited, and even a little scared to be part of the design team (lead by the San Francisco office of SWA) to realize the Harvey Milk Memorial in San Francisco’s Castro district. The Friends of Harvey Milk Plaza organization is leading the project: “For over 25 years, the community has sought to reimagine Harvey Milk Plaza as a welcoming, vibrant space that honors Harvey’s life and legacy, celebrates his enduring importance to the LGBTQ+ community, and inspires all by acting as a beacon of hope to marginalized communities worldwide.”
The complete team includes Civic Edge, Peoples Associates Structural Engineers, Telamon Engineering (Engineer of Record), and WSP. “The team brings the necessary creativity, vision, and experience both to realize bold and unconventional ideas and to ensure a successfully built project,” said Brian Springfield, interim FHMP board president in Hoodline. We won’t let you down, Brian!
